If a cremation service option has been selected, all steps of the process from removal of the remains to notification when the cremation is complete will be performed in an expeditious manner.
Full-Service Direct Cremation
A direct cremation is a cremation without a ceremony. It includes removal of remains within a 10 mile radius of the funeral home, basic services of the staff (filing and obtaining death certificates, placing obituaries and filing life insurance claim and/or Veteran benefit claims), acquisition of all required authorizations to cremate the remains, local transportation of remains to the crematory and the cremation. This does not include embalming, additional refrigeration, use of facilities and staff for visitation or ceremony, merchandise or other cash advance items. An alternative container or appropriate casket may be used for the cremation. An alternative container encases the remains and is normally made of materials like fiberboard of composition materials. We have an alternative container, made of fiberboard, available for purchase or you may provide your own appropriate for cremation alternative container. A temporary urn is included or an urn may be purchased

It does not include the cost of cash advances such as the cost flowers, death certificates, obituaries or honorariums for officiants, musicians, and/or soloists. A temporary urn is included or an urn may be purchased.
Immediate Burial
The charge for an immediate burial without a ceremony includes local removal (within a 10 mile radius), basic services of the staff (filing and obtaining death certificates, placing obituaries and filing life insurance claim and/or Veteran benefit claims), acquisition of necessary authorizations and local transportation (10 mile radius) to the cemetery. This charge does not include embalming, visitation or funeral services (public or private) prior to burial, cemetery fees, opening and closing of the grave, casket or cash advances such as the cost flowers, death certificates and obituaries.

Green Burials
Not all cemeteries accommodate green burials and rules may be different according to the cemetery selected. Most green burial cemeteries allow the remains to be encased in a shroud or wrapped in a sheet. A wicker casket may be used (quote available at the funeral home). The charge for a green burial, without a ceremony, includes local removal (within a 10 mile radius), basic services of the staff (filing and obtaining death certificates, placing obituaries and filing life insurance claim and/or Veteran benefit claims), acquisition of necessary authorizations and local transportation (10 mile radius) to the cemetery. A graveside service is an additional cost as are cash advances such as the cost flowers, death certificates, honorariums and obituaries. There is a $3.00 per loaded mile to the cemetery with no charge for the first 10 miles should the cemetery be located outside the 10 mile radius.

Funeral Service at our chapel, a church or other location
A traditional funeral service includes embalming*, the basic services of the staff (filing and obtaining death certificates, embalming, placing obituaries and filing life insurance claim and/or Veteran benefit claims), preparation of the body and placement in the casket, acquisition of necessary authorizations, coordination with officiants, soloists and musicians, military and others as required, use of staff at service location and local transportation (ten mile radius) to the cemetery. Does not include casket, outer burial container, cemetery charges, opening and closing of the grave and cash advances such as the cost flowers, death certificates, honorariums and obituaries.

*Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary; however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a visitation. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require it such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Forwarding Remains to Another Funeral Home

This charge includes the removal of the remains, basic services of the staff, embalming, acquisition of necessary authorizations, minimum shipping container and local transportation to airport. This charge does not include other services, merchandise or any cash advance items prior to shipping the body.
Receiving Remains from Another Funeral Home
$2,255.00
This charge includes local (ten mile radius) transportation of remains from airport, basic services of staff and transportation of remains to local cemetery or crematory. It does not include other services such as visitation, rites, ceremonies, merchandise such casket, outer burial containers, service-related merchandise or cash advances such as the cost flowers, death certificates, honorariums and obituaries.
