Travis Davis

Travis D. Davis, 83, of Palatka, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness. He was a native of Haysi, Virginia and had been a resident Putnam county for the past 66 years coming from Haysi, first living in Hollister and later in Palatka. He had worked at the former Hudson Pulp and Paper and Georgia Pacific for 40 years having retired in 1997. He was of the Baptist faith. Travis enjoyed word search puzzles, coloring books, traveling and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dora C. Davis; parents, T. D. and Carrie Woods Davis; a sister, Jean Shrader and a brother, Bobby Davis.
Surviving are a son, Mickey L. Davis (Jeannie) of Interlachen; three daughters, Wanda J. Kilpatrick (David) of Defuniak Springs, Deborah L. Johnson of Hastings and Rebecca F. Phillips (Pete) of Opp, Alabama; a brother, Danny Davis of North Carolina; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 at Masters Funeral Home of Palatka. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday September 7, 2018 at Palatka Memorial Gardens.
