Esther J. Hartley, 93, of East Palatka died peacefully after an extended illness Monday, March 5, 2018 at Palatka Health Care Center.

Esther was born in Rumford, Rhode Island and had been a resident of East Palatka for the past 58 years, coming from Gainesville. She was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship in East Palatka and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her husband, William J. “Bill” Hartley; three brothers, Robert Lamson, Warren Lamson and Ernest Lamson; two sisters, Evelyn Lamson and Martha Reeves; and a brother-in-law, Thornton Hartley.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Mary Ann Hartley of Ft. Collins, CO, Steven and Roseann Fowler Hartley of East Palatka, and Barry and Sherry Hartley of East Palatka; two daughters and son-in-law, Frieda Ellis of Deland, and La Verne and Billy Morgan of Satsuma; seven grandchildren, Melinda Cummings, Heather Hartley, Jason Hartley, Nancy Yelvington, Sara Morgan, Zane Morgan and Kody Morgan; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Ben Tippett officiating. Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 9th at the funeral home.
